In the next few days, updates will be coming to Google Calendar and Google Drive. I think the updates will be for the best but may take some getting used to. I am glad we have some advanced notice before they take effect.
Google Calendar Interface Update
Here is the new layout for Google Calendar. The goal of the update seems to be to make it easier to enter all of your event information from one screen, rather than having to go between the calendar view and the event view. This update does not change the Google Calendar App.
Here are some highlights of the update:
See event details at a glance.
When you click an event once, you can see all the event details including:
Quickly add new events.
You can create new events when you click on an empty space on your calendar. Here you can add the following details:
You can also create new events by clicking on the Add event button.
Customize how you see your calendar.
You can now choose to show or hide weekends when viewing your calendar.
Invitation status
Events on your calendar look different depending on how you’ve responded:

Team Drives
Google Team Drives are shared spaces where teams can easily store, search, and access their files anywhere, from any device. Unlike files in My Drive, files in Team Drive belong to the team instead of an individual. Even if members leave, the files stay exactly where they are so your team can continue to share information and get work done. If you are working collaboratively or sharing files with more than one colleague this should be the place to create those shared folders in the future. Your existing team folders can be migrated to a Team Drive as well. Contact me if you would like this done. You will see no change other than clicking on Team Drives to access your folder.
Team Drives are accessible on the Google Drive App on mobile devices.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
