I love to cook. It doesn't matter whether I'm cooking breakfast or dinner, savory or sweet, vegan or heavily carnivorous; I enjoy cooking it all. Mostly because I really love to eat it all but also because I enjoy the process of transforming ingredients into something else. As with any good cook I'm not without my eccentricities. When I cook I need my space so I try to keep my tools kitchen tools to a minimum. If the tool can't be used in multiple ways then it doesn't get to be in my kitchen (sorry avocado corer).
Whether you have an affinity for cooking or not we can probably agree that you enjoy observing transformations every day in your classrooms. From the start of the year to the end you have the opportunity to transform your students into more complete learners. You have many tools at your disposal to help this process along and it is up to you to determine what is profitable for each student. I've been spending my last few blog posts covering software that Wrentham provides to you for use in your classroom. This week is probably our most robust program, MobyMax. If you are unfamiliar with MobyMax and what it can do here is an overview:
Basically, MobyMax finds and fixes learning gaps in students through the process of personalized learning.
Every Wrentham K-6 classroom teacher and teacher of students with disabilities have an account to Moby Max. All students K-6 have accounts. MobyMax can be used in or out of school as well as on Chromebooks. There is also an iPad App available.
MobyMax is more than just the Math support you are used to, here is a list of some curricular areas MobyMax covers:
Early Reading
Reading
Language
Writing
Science
Social Studies
State Test Prep
Touch Curriculum (tablet based for students to learn by touch)
As you pick the right tool to transform your students definitely consider MobyMax.
