Interactvie Panel Care

Over the last few years we have been very fortunate to add interactive panels into many of our learning spaces throughout the district. While Scott and Tim take care of most of the maintenance related to the interactive panels there are a few things you can do if you have one in your space to keep them functioning at a high level for years to come.

  1. Turn them off at the end of the day - Each interactive panel has a computer built into it. To turn off the panel you can shut down the computer just as you would your laptop. Generally, this will also prompt the panel to shutdown after a short period of time. If you would rather manually turn off the panel, you can press the power button on the bottom right-corner of the panel. You will know the panel is off when the power button is red.

  2. Occasionally clean the screen - If you are actively using your panel you will notice fingerprints and smudges starting to immerge. Those can be cleaned fairly easily with a microfiber cloth dampened with some water. Please let me know if you have not received a microfiber cloth and we will make sure one gets to your room. Also let me know if your current cloth is dirty and unusable and we will replace it.

  3. Ask for help - During breaks and over the summer we complete regular maintenace on the panels. However, if you would like your panel deep cleaned or feel it is not working as well as you think it should, reach out to us for help. We would be glad to stop by and check it out.

I would be glad to stop by your classroom and do a brief overall refresher for your panel, review a specific element of the panel, or help you brainstorm adiditonal ways you can leverage your panel's interactivity and built-in efficiencies in your classroom.
