Last week we covered Organizing your Gmail Inbox. This week we'll finish up talking about organizing and focus in on your Contacts. This will also wind down our Gmail specific series of posts.
Remember that all Wrentham Public Schools Contacts are pre-populated. They are already formed into groups. You can find the group you’re looking for if you're familiar with its name by typing in the To box on an email you're composing or you can click on the waffle/tic-tac-toe board in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and then click on Groups. All of the Wrentham Public Schools groups are listed there.
To access Contacts make sure you're in Gmail and click on Mail in the upper-left corner of the Gmail screen. Then click Contacts.
The contacts in your Google Contacts will be any contacts that you transferred from Outlook this past June or those you've communicated with via Gmail since the transfer was made. Google attempts to be helpful by auto-sorting some of your contacts into groups like My Contacts, Most Contacted, and Other Contacts. The way contacts are sorted has to do with frequency of contact and whether or not the contacts were uploaded into Google.
You do have the option to create contact groups of your own:
You can add contacts to a group by:
