Getting something from one place to another can sometimes be a problem. My dog Colby (pictured ABOVE) can relate to that problem. He loves playing fetch and chewing on sticks in the yard. He gets most proud of himself when he finds a big stick that he can barely carry. He proceeds to parade around with it for all to see. Colby's only problem is that he's blind. His prideful striding usually comes to a halt when his stick gets him precariously stuck in some place and he can't get it out. Sort of like this dog (NOT MINE) below.
One of the goals of the new copiers is that they would help us solve the problem of how to more easily share any type of file with a colleague, student, or parent. To do this, we will leverage the file sharing and collaboration of Google Drive. Our new copiers now have the ability to scan right from the copier to the folder in Google Drive that you choose. All done from the copier screen. Here are the steps. First, you'll need to link your Google Drive to your copier login if you have not done so already.
Linking your Google Drive to your copier login:
1. Log into the copier with your badge or pin code
2. Click Secure Print Scan
3. Click Scan
4. Click Google Drive Scan
5. Click Next. Doing so will send you an email. Click the link the email and confirm you want to allow the copier to connect to your Google Drive.
The next time you go to the copier and login, when you click on Google Drive Scan it will bring up the scanning options. Once you scan your documents you'll be able to see your Google Drive from the copier and choose the exact folder you want it scanned.
Give this process a try and let me know if you have any questions!!!
