For the first time in decades the Boys Waynesboro Cross country team wins regional. This was a big surprise to many because Waynesboro was ranked 4th heading into the meet which wouldn't have been enough to qualify for states. Ross Willamson says on the win “ I thought it was crazy and it was mind blowing because when I came across that finish line we were worried about even making states but then when we realized we won it was crazy”. Adam Groves, Dylan Colander and Grayson Norris medaled. The boys Waynesboro Cross country team went to states November 12th. Adam Groves and Miles Jolins earned a medal at states with 4th and 6th place. Miles Jolin had a very impressive race running a 16:11, the fastest time for the 5k in the whole state of virginia for a Freshman. Miles says “ It feels good, it feels surreal” on being the fastest freshman runner in Virginia.
