Should students have a longer Thanksgiving break?

It's possible that you are unaware that public schools in Waynesboro are closed for three days over Thanksgiving break. Staunton, however, is off for the entire week. Do you think that's a little unjust, or am I exaggerating? The distance by car between Stanton High School and the high school in Waynesboro is roughly twenty minutes.  Staunton, Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Waynesboro, and Lexington are all grouped together as one "district". Now, why do they get a full week and we just get three days?If Harrisonburg or Riverheads had the entire week off, things would be different.
