With meetings currently held bi-weekly between the freshman and sophomore classes, planning for the Winter Dance is progressing steadily.

The proposed date for the dance is February 10, with the theme being Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. Although it may seem early to begin working out the details in November, the individuals involved in arranging this event have dedicated their time to making WHS’ 2024 Winter Dance the best the high school has seen. Dominoes Pizza will be offered, as well as snacks, drinks, and possibly desserts from Sweet Day Cafe. Ticket prices will be $12 at the door and $10 prepaid.

As for activities, there will be a cake walk, a raffle, and a special grand prize. All baked goods for the cake walk will be donated. The walk will continue until there are no more sweets left, with one person winning an item per round. The raffle baskets will also be donated. Clubs and classes will be asked to sponsor a basket sometime in January, with the option to choose a theme. More details will be released soon on the grand prize.

Further information on the dance will be posted on the WHS Class of 2027 Instagram page, as well as through email.
