Girl, Interrupted is a book made in 1999 by Susanna Kaysen and later on made into a film directed by James Mangold. This American psychological drama film is about a young woman named Susanna gets admitted to a psychiatric hospital during the 1960’s. The movie is really good in my opinion it shows many disorders people go through and shows the effects it causes in people. Susanna the main character doesn’t see anything wrong with herself but later on realizes she isn’t okay and does anything to get better.

She makes friends with a woman named Lisa who suffers from antisocial personality disorder. Lisa leads Susanna to do the wrong decisions such as escaping the hospital but later goes back to the psychiatric without Lisa. Susanna goes through borderline personality disorder which she talks about whats on her mind to her therapist which helps them understand her better. Once Susanna learns about her disorder more she starts to get better and gets to finally leave the pyshiatric hospital but of course she still cares about the friends she made in the hospital and keeps in touch with them such as visiting the hospital to see them.
