Alondra Gomez is a 10th grader at Waynesboro High School who is really interested in writing. Alondra said she just started liking writing throughout her school years. She likes making her own things and being creative. She writes about the things she's interested in like bands, animals, countries, and history. She said once she heard there was a class about writing, which is journalism, she wanted to take it immediately.

Writing encourages her and exhausts her at the same time. It encourages her to be more creative and learn about new things. But, thinking too much gives her headaches and her hands get tired from writing. She said usually she spends about an hour or so writing but she'd love to write a book one day and get better at writing. If she were to write a book one day, she would write it about anxiety. She said that she has anxiety and she wants others to learn more about it and know they aren’t alone.

She started writing more during middle school around 6th grade. She writes pretty often, pretty much everyday because of journalism. But when she's not in journalism, she writes every once in a while. She said she kinda stopped writing on her own. She doesn’t know anything interesting to write about right now which is why she stopped writing as much. She also gets lazy when she comes home from school so she kind of stopped.
