Meet Kevin!

This fall journalism semester starts with new and old journalism students. I interviewed Kevin Chapa-Loya, a new journalism student. His elective classes were chosen for him as he missed the date to choose on his own. Though he is glad that Journalism class was chosen for him.

Kevin is from Colorado, but moved to Waynesboro 4-5 years ago. His mother is from Waynesboro, Virginia and decided to move back to be closer to family. Kevin has two sisters and one brother. As a freshman he has many options for clubs and sports. A sport that he has thought about is wrestling. His older sister’s boyfriend has convinced him to try out for wrestling, although he has thought about wrestling before he could not try out because he was underweight at the time. He was introduced to Key Club by Molly Finch, he thought the description she gave was really good. Although he has not made a final decision, he does have next year to join also. Welcome to Journalism, I hope you have an amazing first year of high school.
