The Tiger Moth first flew in October 1931.
It performed a variety of military and civilian roles, but is best known as a primary trainer. It served in the RAF until the 1950s, when it was replaced by the Chipmunk.
G-ANKT served in the RAF as T6818 during WW2 and was placed on the civil register as G-ANKT after the war.
In 1966 it was acquired by the Shuttleworth Collection, based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, and is a regular performer at Shuttleworth airshows.
G-ANKT is shown here wearing the markings of K-2582, Central Flying School Aerobatic Team, RAF.
