The DH.60X is a two-seat touring and training aircraft developed from the DH.51.
The Hermes Moth gets its name because it is fitted with a Hermes engine.
G-EBWD was built in 1928 and Richard Shuttleworth bought the aircraft in 1932. It was his first aeroplane and the one in which he learned to fly. It is now part of the Shuttleworth Collection based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire.
