The original Anson first flew in March 1935. The C19 was developed from the Anson and was used as a communications and transport aircraft for the RAF.
G-AHKX first flew in 1946 and was used for instrument development, aerial surveying and freight delivery until 1968.
After years of being grounded, British Aerospace bought G-AHKX in 1981 for use as an instructional airframe. In 2002 it was restored to airworthy condition.
G-AHKX is still owned by BAe Systems and is hangared alongside the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, Bedfordshire. It wears the markings of TX176 of the Station Flight, RAF Coningsby and is a regular perfomer at Shuttleworth airshows.
