The Miles Hawk Speed Six was a single-seat racing version of the Hawk Major. The prototype first flew in 1934. Only three were built and each one was built to custom requirements. G-ADGP was the third aircraft to be built and the only one that survives today. It took part in 13 Kings Cup races between 1948 and 1960.
By 1971, G-ADGP had received so many modifications that it was almost unrecognisable from its original design. Starting in 1986 it was rebuilt to its 1937 specification. It was based at Old Warden until 1997 when it moved to Fairoaks. In 2018 it was purchased by the Shuttleworth Collection and can be regularly seen at Old Warden airshows.
