The DH.9 was a First World War bomber, developed from the successful DH.4 and it first flew in July 1917.
E8894 is an original DH.9, which was recovered from India and took over ten years to restore to flying condition. The restoration was undertaken by Guy Black and his team and it is operated by the Historic Aircraft Collection based at Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
