The DH.51 is a touring biplane built in 1925. It has the honour of being the oldest flying de Havilland-designed aircraft anywhere in the world.
G-EBIR is also known as ‘Miss Kenya’ because she was the first aircraft to fly in Kenya.
In 1972 the aircraft joined the Shuttleworth Collection based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire.
In 2011, G-EBIR was repainted for film work to represent a DH.9 used by the Aircraft Transport and Travel company.
