The Corsair was a carrier-based fighter bomber and made its maiden flight in May 1940.
F-AZEG was originally manufactured and delivered to the US Navy in September 1951. Between 1952 and 1953, it was assigned to US Navy Squadron VC-3 operating from the aircraft carriers USS Valley Forge and USS Boxer.
In 1956, it was delivered to Honduran Air Force as FAH 600 and saw action in the war with El Salvador.
After being retired from service, it was owned by several users before moving to the AJBS Les Casques de Cuir collection based in La Ferté-Alais, France, in 1986.
Shown here, F-AZEG wears the markings of 124724/VC-3 Night Fighter Squadron, USS Princeton, US Navy.
