G-AZWT was originally built for the RAF as V9552 before moving to Canada in 1942 as a target tug for the Royal Canadian Air Force. After WW2 it was sold to a private collector.
In 1971 it was bought by the Strathallan Collection, where it was restored to flying condition in 1979.
After being in storage since 1986, it went Duxford for restoration in 1997.
In 1998, G-AZWT joined the Shuttleworth Collection, based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire and can be seen regularly displaying at Shuttleworth airshows.
G-AZWT wears the all black markings of V9367/MA-B of 161 Sqn, RAF as used for clandestine night flying operations between 1942 and 1945.
