The Snipe was a single-seat biplane fighter which first flew in October 1917.
It was intended as a replacement for the Sopwith Camel and entered service with the Royal Air Force just before the end of WW1 in 1918. The Snipe was the last rotary-engined fighter to serve in the RAF.
G-CKBB is a replica built by the The Vintage Aviator Ltd (TVAL) in New Zealand . It is owned by TVAL and operated in the UK by the WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust based at Stow Maries, Essex.
G-CKBB wears the markings of F2367 of B Flight, 70 Sqn, RAF.
