The Lysander first flew in June 1936 and was designed as an army co-operation and liaison aircraft.
G-CCOM was originally built by Westland in 1940 and served with the RAF as V9312 between 1941 and 1942. After suffering an accident in 1942, it was repaired and then used as a target tug until 1944.
After a couple of changes of private ownership, G-CCOM was acquired in 2003 by the Aircraft Restoration Company based at Duxford, Cambridgeshire where it was restored to airworthy condition in October 2018.
G-CCOM wears the markings of V9312/LX-E of 225 Sqn, RAF.
