Barriers are used for ultimate defense and sealing Jutsu. The skill tree isn’t that good in of itself and serves more as a gatekeeper for the Jutsu that come with it, similar to Fuinjutsu. Barriers are still W.I.P.

BARRIER RULES
Barrier Style Ninjutsu is the art of separation, creating defensive walls, and locking things down.
Unlike regular ninjutsu though, there is a lot of time and care that goes into casting them. In dedicating actions to a technique, you "wind up" or prepare to cast your Barrier out. Below is a table of Technique Ranks to Actions required.
D - 5
C - 5
B - 10
A - 20
S - 40
While these thresholds may seem high, you're actually adding POW to the strength of the Barrier for every action performed! So in the end, you're at least coming out with a technique that's worth double the value of your average Jutsu of that rank, though it does also cost double.
As you rank up Barrier, you can spend less actions charging, as you meet the "POW threshold" faster.
Another benefit to this is that you can continue to focus on your Barrier before casting it, even after meeting the threshold, to further increase the POW of the Jutsu.
Base POW + Charged POW + Technique POW
A barrier user can direct others to assist them with barriers, with their actions dedicated to barrier granting only as much as their barrier skill (at minimum, 1). This includes your own clones.
Barrier SP
1 - 1 POW per consecutive action of focus.
2 - 2 POW per consecutive action of focus
3 - 3 POW per consecutive action of focus.
4 - 4 POW per consecutive action of focus
5 - 5 POW per consecutive action of focus
(Spec) - 10 POW per consecutive action of focus
The barrier is set once it's there. To move it, it has to be destroyed and redeployed. A player can only have one ongoing barrier at a time.
