Tools and gear are ranked with letters to signify their importance ( D -> S. )
Only up to B rank gear can be bought with Yen / are easily accessible. A and S have to be found through IRP means or given as lore rewards.
A piece of gear gets one benefit for the rank it maintains. You can combine multiple pieces of gear to create one ‘super’ item if you so wish.
Tools and gear have a carrying capacity. The average nin can carry:
4 D rank Gear Slot
4 C Rank Gear Slot
3 B Rank Gear Slot
2 A Rank Gear Slot
1 S Rank Gear Slot
This capacity can be increased through skill trees and traits.
Gear can be broken if an enemy dedicates an action to break it and the user doesn’t contest said action.

-> Each instance of Kaya tags consumes a Gear slot
-> Can carry 3 kaya tags in one slot. ( So if you have a D rank Gear slot consumed, you can carry 3 D Rank kaya tags in it. Same for C, B, A, S, etc. )
Placement of tags requires an action with swift, precise movements.
Throwing tags depends on Shurikenjutsu, attaching it to throwables and the sorts.
When throwing a tag, the AGL is dependant on the Shurikenjutsu throwing efficiency of the user with the POW being the tag's explosion.
Tags can be detected by SENSORY users given it is not concealed.
Placement in Hand to Hand combat is a Taijutsu attack. Your hand / The action used to place the tag can also be swatted away. Your POW and AGL will be checked when trying to do this, but if the POW goes through and the tag lands, it sticks to the target.
Kayakajutsu attacks directly placed on someones' body can't be blocked by Jutsu unless it's a form of armour / With IRP reasonability. If fast enough, you can remove the tag placed onto you by removing the piece of clothing / armour and tossing it elsewhere. You will still need to clash the resounding the explosion with POW / AGL but it will remove the auto-detonation.
-> Fuinjutsu can "quick remove" tags. If your Fuin is higher than the targets', you can remove the tag with an action.
Tags have fixed damage depending on the perk.

TAG MODIFICATIONS:
Depending on the slots of the Rank, a tag can have modifiers applied to it. To buy a modification, you need to pay 100K for the "tag modification".
CONCEALED - Conceals the tag according to your SOL. Requires 1 DETECT.
DELAYED - Allows the user to place a tag that has a delayed explosion. Placing it costs an action but from then on, they can choose any given point in the fight to detonate it with another action, given it isn't discovered and found.
BOMBASTIC - + 50% POW, +50% explosion range to the tag. Concealment cannot be taken with this perk.
