Not technically a clan, the karatachi are a well-respected family within Kirigakure regardless of this fact.
The Karatachi are a family who famously produced the first Mizukage. Karatachi Yua was a major force in the establishment of Kirigakure and the 7NSM as a whole. From then on, the clan tried to reproduce the greatness of the first Mizukage but failed time and time again. Her greatness was a result of individual skill and not bloodline.
They are mostly matriarchal in family structure. Due to high deaths in the Great Ninja War, repeated attempts at producing a new Mizukage and refusal to marry, the Karatachi has dwindled to a smaller population.
Despite this, it is a superstition within The Land of Water that this family will continue to cultivate great ninja. While they have little organization and less political pull as before, this makes them far more close knit than a clan might be. With generally deeper and more empathetic bonds between the members of this family.
The Karatachi were unable to produce a Mizukage but continue to hold the Executioner Blade. With a dwindling population, the pressure is on the newer generations to stay strong enough to keep the blade in the family's possession.
Members will likely have high expectations placed on them, not only by their superiors but also by people of the village. This means that mistakes will be heavily scrutinized without affording them any pardons. The weight of such a prestigious progenitor will be like carrying a boulder on one's back while they navigate this already complicated world. Whoever you may be, goodluck living up to that legacy.
Strangers will likely have unrealistic expectations of you with very little prejudice attached. Although, they will be quick and harsh to judge.
