The Ito-Yume are a clan of artists and shinobi with ancestral ties to Sunagakure, even before it came to take that name. Classifying themselves as first performers and then ninja the Ito-Yume are renowned for their puppeteering and even as Suna turned their performances into dances of war the clan stayed resolute in their belief that puppeteering is a spectacle first and fighting style second.

Within Sunagakure the Ito-Yume are well respected and well liked, their loyalty recognised and regular shows appreciated. Outside of Sunagakure the clan has considerably less fame with their heroic exploits and stage plays not breaching the borders of their home.

With the singular expectation of their Dojutsu; Rōtasugan, a feared technique that employs yin release to ensnare targets in an illusory dream-like realm of paradise. Unlike most other Genjutsu the Rōtasugan’s effect incurs no inherent hindrance to their targets but instead quells violent thought and births tranquillity or joy in place of negative emotion. This effect is known as Tranquil Elysuim and is both envied and feared by those who dare face it, after all even the strongest opponent would soon fall when tempted with the contents of their dreams.

While the Ito-Yume are a clan with many branch families the lines are quick to blur as little importance is placed on the stock of their breed and instead focus is placed on the utility they bring to the clan. Be that as a performer or shinobi.

+ Allows the user to ‘project’ their thoughts and environments as illusionary holograms into the real world. This is a pretty basic utility ability but allows for minor-tricks on opponents. Per 1 Genjutsu, the projection increases by 4M in size and range, allowing for the user to project fake environments at certain stages.

Tranquil Elyisium - Hindering, 3 Gen

Tranquil Elysium is a genjutsu like few others.

It is a completely harmless technique that alters the target's mind to maximise pleasure and eradicate violent thought. This manifests as a target's perspective being altered, changing their world to fit their perfect fantasy. While in this fantasy world they cannot take any offensive action and no longer view any going-ons around them as threatening.

Using the Rotsugan, the user can cast the clans' signature Jutsu. Tranquil Elysium, when casted, forces the target to relegate their actions to defensive or utility only. These actions are counted after only the necessary actions the target must have used to defend against any incoming attacks.

i.e. a target is being hit by 3 attacks. They must use 3 defensive actions by default to clash those incoming attacks. Tranquil Elyisium's effects are applied after those absolutely necessary actions.
