KAMI CLAN

The Kami Clan possess the Paper Kekkei Genkai and are entirely made out of paper. They hail from the Land of Rain ( Amegakure. )

Amegakure has been around since the inception of the other five villages. Small, yet developing and even holding the potential to rival the bigger parties.

They began to become an industrial powerhouse; Sandwiched between Konoha, Suna and Iwa, they had the most trading options. Technology was rapidly advancing and posed a threat to Iwagakure. 

Rumours of explosive barriers surrounding their village also began to spread. Military might grew as the Kami clan performed Dance of the Shikigami ( The Paper ritual ) on nearly all of their inhabitants; Their Kekkei Genkai not being a genetic feature, rather a special ritual harnessing power from Amegakure’s land. 

Amegakure began to eerily resemble the Uzumaki.

Naturally, many came to fear them. A village composed entirely of Kekkei Genkai users. 

One day, in the last 10 years or so, Amegakure’s explosive tag barrier set off, decimating the entire village and killing 95% of the Kami clan population. A feat thought impossible as the barrier was designed to only be triggered by Kami clan members in specific circumstances in smaller sections. Expertly made Fuinjutsu seals backed such principles. 

With them, the Dance of the Shikigami died; Those left but a fleeting population. The remaining survivors are spread across the land. They still don’t know who the perpetrator was. Many blame it on Konoha, refusing to settle there.

Iwagakure and Sunagakure do not look upon you favourably.

Kirigakure welcomes you with open arms.

Kumogakure are indifferent.
