Psst! We're moving!
Cheon Geon-young locked the supply room door and embraced Yoon Tae-ha, who was awkwardly leaning against the wall. He was like a young beast seeking comfort, exploring her embrace.
Noticing his subtle emotional turmoil, Yoon Tae-ha caressed his head with an affectionate touch. No one enjoys seeing blood, even the blood of an enemy. It was not difficult to guess Cheon Geon-young's feelings, so she silently shared her warmth with him.
“Was it hard?”
After a while of being held as he wished, Yoon Tae-ha asked quietly. Cheon Geon-young said nothing and just gently bit her neck with his lips. The wet flesh inside his lips touched her sensitive neck, causing goosebumps to rise on Yoon Tae-ha’s arms.
“It would be troublesome if my cover was blown because of marks like that.”
“If you haven’t been caught so far, you won’t be caught in the future.”
He raised his head and looked down at Yoon Tae-ha, answering slowly. Perhaps because of the light behind him, his eyes looked darker than usual.
“Remove the chip here. You've been faithful to your role so far.”
“I still have to go to the Chancellor with the key.”
“This is the second time that something unfavorable to the Chancellor has come to light. He’s realized that there are people trying to kill him, and just now, several guild leaders didn’t answer his call. He also knows that people who are after him have infiltrated right to his doorstep. If the Chimera has served its purpose, he will destroy you on the spot.”
His face twisted faintly. He seemed to be in pain just by imagining a situation where Yoon Tae-ha’s safety was threatened.
“This is a request.”
Cheon Geon-young said in a subdued voice and took her hand. At a distance so close that their noses touched, he gave her a guiding. A pleasant sense of fullness ran up her fingertips to her head.
“If you give me a guiding while making a request, my heart gets weak.”
“Don’t just say that your heart is getting weak, say that you'll remove the chip.”
With that, Cheon Geon-young pressed his lips firmly against hers and then pulled away. When Yoon Tae-ha glared at him for the tantalizing contact, Cheon Geon-young gently stroked her body with his large hand.
At that moment, in the strange standoff, a different sensation than before swept through Yoon Tae-ha’s entire body. If the previous guiding was more like a rest, slowly taking away chronic pain, the current guiding was so stimulating that it made her heart pound wildly. The throbbing that had turned her heart upside down soon turned into a faint excitement. It felt like she had a candy given by Lee Won-shik in her mouth, and a heat kept rising from inside.
“I need to recharge.”
Yoon Tae-ha, who couldn't handle the heat alone, was the first to wrap her arms around Cheon Geon-young’s neck and pull him closer. He bent down and actively participated in her plan.
As their lips met and his tongue entered her mouth, Yoon Tae-ha gently sucked on it, letting out a low moan. As their saliva mixed, pleasure spread through her tense body in an instant. Soon, his firm thighs came between her legs to support her so she wouldn't collapse. Beyond her crushed chest, Cheon Geon-young’s heart was beating fiercely. He kissed her so tenderly that her toes curled up.
After a long time of hot breaths, whose owner could not be distinguished, passing between their swollen lips, the two finally pulled their lips apart. Cheon Geon-young lightly nibbled on Yoon Tae-ha’s lower lip several times as if he was disappointed.
“This is driving me crazy.”
At Yoon Tae-ha’s particularly impatient voice, Cheon Geon-young said in a very dumbfounded tone.
“What do you mean, you're going crazy? There’s a person right in front of you who's more troubled than you are.”
“Did you just give me a separate guiding?”
“I didn't have the presence of mind to do that.”
“Then why am I so dizzy? I feel like I'm going to die.”
“Maybe it's because you like me that much?”
Yoon Tae-ha’s cheeks turned red at the sudden words. Cheon Geon-young gently touched her earlobe and asked affectionately.
“If you try a little harder, you’ll get dizzy more often than this.”
Yoon Tae-ha, who was speechless, roughly wiped her lips with her sleeve, then wiped Cheon Geon-young’s lips as well.
“Don't say weird things.”
The two, who had finally calmed down and came out into the hallway, began to bicker.
“If the charger’s specs have changed, we have to test it.”
“The main body hasn’t changed.”
“It could have changed. How can you be so sure?”
There was a subtle barb in Cheon Geon-young's question.
“Do you also think I might have guiding abilities?”
“I think you might have received it multiple times already.”
“I don't know how to do a guiding.”
“I was in the same state when I did the guiding without any knowledge. I didn't intend to do anything on the subway.”
He seemed quite confident. It was a confidence that Yoon Tae-ha, who didn't want to experience the collapse of her hope that she might also be helpful to him, found difficult to accept readily.
“So remove the chip. If something happens to you, something happens to me too.”
In the end, after a short argument, Yoon Tae-ha decided to have the chip in her collarbone removed. For whatever reason Cheon Geon-young had told them, there was already personnel in the building who could remove the chip.
“I'll make it less painful than before.”
Perhaps thanks to having done it once before, the magician finished the removal quickly. Yoon Tae-ha, who had endured the pain calmly, got up when she heard that it was over. Cheon Geon-young, who had been holding her hand beside her, looked worried that she might collapse at any moment. She did her best to emphasize that she was healthy and hugged him tightly.
After that, Cheon Geon-young left for a while to do another task at Gwon Hyuk's request, and Yoon Tae-ha returned to the monitor room. Yoon Tae-ha, who was guided to a separate space blocked by soundproofing walls, met eyes with Seo Do-jin, who was yawning there.
“Are you bored?”
“…Be quiet. Drag a chair over and sit next to me.”
Seo Do-jin was sitting in front of a desk with three large monitors on it. Yoon Tae-ha brought a folding chair and sat next to him.
“Just now, Geum Gang-seop arrived at Arena 5.”
What Seo Do-jin was watching was an arena just before the guild competition was about to begin. He pointed to the monitor on the left and explained.
“Most of the collaborators he had a secret talk with have also finished taking their seats in the VIP section. You see them gathered here and around here, right? Today, the ace team of a guild owned by the Chancellor’s collaborator is coming out. It’s a touching alliance that even cheers together, you know.”
Yoon Tae-ha turned her head that way and could see Geum Gang-seop politely talking to Ark executives sitting nearby.
“A significant number of neutral agents who don't know about the Elysian Project have also flocked to Arena 5. We adjusted the schedule appropriately.”
“What's the maximum capacity of the arena? It looks full.”
“The maximum is 35,000 people. Right now, it's a little over 30,000. The Alpha Team of the Korean office is also sitting there now.”
When Seo Do-jin hit the keyboard a few times, the faces of Baek Sang-ho with a sullen expression and Choi Bo-mi resting her head on Shim Gyu-jong’s shoulder appeared on the screen. Yoon Tae-ha calmly took in the faces of the familiar Alpha Team agents.
“When the game starts and people are concentrating, we're going to hijack the broadcast. We're going to show them what kind of human Geum Gang-seop is, in a place where all the parties are gathered.”
“Will only the agents in that arena know?”
“Of course not. We're going to send the video to all Ark agents through Gaia. Everyone will be shocked, but that's their own share to bear.”
“Is my story in the video by any chance?”
“If that's missing, the story won't be properly established. Of course, we won't touch on your family history. But the fact that Agent Yoon Tae-ha was framed by Ark, and that it was an event that happened under the Chancellor's plan, must be revealed. So there's one thing I need to ask for your understanding about.”
Just then, someone knocked on the door. When Seo Do-jin told them to come in, a female agent of a similar height to Yoon Tae-ha came in with a friendly smile. In her hand was a small silver box.
Yoon Tae-ha, who awkwardly greeted the agent she had never seen before, unfolded a new chair for her. The agent sat on the chair, watching Yoon Tae-ha with a friendly gaze.
Seo Do-jin introduced her to Yoon Tae-ha.
“You might have met her briefly at AMC.”
“I don't think I've ever seen her before?”
“I was wearing a mask back then.”
The woman said and opened the box. Inside the box was a disguise mask that looked like a wobbly jelly. A chill of ominousness pierced Yoon Tae-ha's mind when a female agent with a similar build and even a similar hair length to her appeared with a disguise mask.
“No.”
She flatly refused without even properly hearing the plan, and Seo Do-jin crossed his arms leisurely as if he had expected it.
“I told you she would react like this, didn't I?”
“Yes. I'll give you the 100,000 won later.”
The woman sent a calm gaze toward Yoon Tae-ha.
“For the next few hours, I will be Agent Yoon Tae-ha.”
What on earth is this woman saying? Yoon Tae-ha stared blankly at the woman who was about to do something no different from holding a knife to her own throat.
“To be precise, I’ll be impersonating Agent Yoon Tae-ha, who came back alive from Lethe. We're using the same strategy that the Chancellor used to cause chaos for us. If I appear, Ms. Yoon Tae-ha will seem a little more—no offense—like the Chimera. And I can draw the attention of the Chancellor and Yoon Jung-hoon.”
In short, she was saying that she would act like her and become a decoy. Yoon Tae-ha couldn’t hold back and raised her voice.
“I'm sorry, are you in your right mind?”
“If we do this, we can move Yoon Jung-hoon and Kal to the area we want. A part of the special operations unit will also be assigned to my side. The number of enemies you have to deal with directly will be greatly reduced.”
“I can't agree with the idea that Yoon Jung-hoon will move himself just by seeing a face. When it comes to disguise masks, Yoon Jung-hoon is more of an expert than we are.”
At that moment, Seo Do-jin interrupted.
“That’s why I’m going with her.”
Feeling as if her brain was freezing, Yoon Tae-ha turned her head.
“If it's Yoon Tae-ha with Seo Do-jin by her side, they'll see it a little differently on their end.”
