Psst! We're moving!
The weekend before the music festival, at the hospital.
Li Gun asked Zhou Xi-you what kind of hairstyle she wanted him to get.
Zhou Xi-you had been undergoing medication recently, so she was very weak and spoke weakly. “Does my opinion matter?”
Li Gun said, “It matters. You’re my girlfriend. I’m performing for you.”
Zhou Xi-you smiled, “Who have you been learning from lately? You’ve got a whole routine.”
Li Gun sat down and took a letter out of his bag, handing it to her.
Zhou Xi-you took one look and said, “A love letter?”
Li Gun said, “It’s for your parents.”
Zhou Xi-you opened it right away; Li Gun didn’t even try to stop her.
It was a letter requesting permission. Inside, Li Gun wrote about his determination to take Zhou Xi-you to the music festival and his promise to protect her, to not let a single thing happen to her.
Zhou Xi-you’s eyes welled up as she read. She handed the letter back to him, “What is this?”
Li Gun reached out to wipe her tears, “This is your wish.”
Zhou Xi-you wiped her own face, “You haven’t fallen in love with me, have you? Are you moving on this quickly? Don’t you like Zhao Gu-qing anymore?”
Li Gun said, “I only know that my girlfriend is Zhou Xi-you, and I should prioritize Zhou Xi-you.”
“You don’t know shit.” Zhou Xi-you turned away from him. Just looking at him made her want to cry.
Li Gun reflected, “I know you were unhappy that I swapped out Zhao Gu-qing’s wine for water. I wasn’t thinking at the time, and I won’t do it again.”
Zhou Xi-you slowly turned back to him, “You’re an idiot.”
“People have called me strange, but no one has ever called me an idiot.”
Zhou Xi-you glanced at his letter, “You’re really going to show this to my dad?”
Li Gun nodded, “Did I not write enough?”
“It’s not that you didn’t write enough. I’m afraid my dad will be even more against me going. It’s too obvious you’re trying to steal his daughter,” Zhou Xi-you said.
Li Gun frowned, looking serious and nervous, “Then what should I do?”
Zhou Xi-you liked seeing him look so goofy and enjoyed teasing him, “It’s fine. I’m the one who makes the decisions in our family. If I insist on going with you, he’ll have to agree, whether he wants to or not!”

Shen Ting-wen bought the plane tickets and music festival tickets, and Zhou Shu-rong booked the hotel and restaurants.
It was the first time the two of them had traveled together. Shen Ting-wen bought first-class tickets, but he refused to stay in his own seat, insisting on squeezing into Zhou Shu-rong’s seat, using her blanket, drinking her wine, and eating her food.
Zhou Shu-rong was not happy, “Can you please go back to your own seat?”
No. Shen Ting-wen said, “I’m cold.”
“Then ask for another blanket. It’s not like they cost anything.”
“That would be a hassle for the flight attendant. We shouldn’t cause trouble for others. We should be good passengers.”
Zhou Shu-rong had no way of dealing with him!
She suddenly felt that the idea of bringing him along to avoid strange people was ridiculous. He was the strange one!
After a three-hour journey, they finally arrived. Zhou Shu-rong didn’t want to walk with him after they got off the plane, and they couldn’t anyway, because Shen Ting-wen was held up by a few girls who were asking for his contact information.
Zhou Shu-rong didn’t even want to look. Shen Ting-wen still hadn’t caught up, probably telling them he didn’t have a girlfriend.
Once outside the airport, Shen Ting-wen caught up to her and asked, “Why didn’t you wait for me?”
Zhou Shu-rong didn’t want to talk, “I didn’t want to interrupt you talking to other people.”
Shen Ting-wen smiled, “Are you jealous?”
“You’re thinking too much.”
Shen Ting-wen tilted his head to look at her face, “It’s written all over your face. You’re so sour.”
Why would Zhou Shu-rong care about such things? She didn’t. He could add whoever he wanted. Add a hundred girls, chat with them every day, that’s great. “The young master is charming. That’s your advantage. I’m not sour.”
Shen Ting-wen handed her her keychain, “You dropped your keychain, and I went back to get it for you. Who would I add? None of them are as good as you. Am I supposed to add them out of charity?”
The word ‘charity’ made Zhou Shu-rong think of herself, and Shen Ting-wen had actually said the same thing to her. She took the keychain back and fell silent.
Shen Ting-wen was still smiling, a silent smile that hung on the corners of his mouth.
His girlfriend was so cute. Who could understand his happiness?

Shanghai Music Festival.
As far as the eye could see, there were people everywhere. The girls were prettier and more scantily dressed than the last, and the boys were handsomer and more flirtatious. The bands performed on stage, while the crowd jumped below. Soon, everyone was sweaty and pressed together, with nothing left un-touched.
Most people wanted to take this opportunity to let loose and have a good time, but some used it as a chance to find a sugar daddy or a cheap hookup. In these kinds of situations, taking someone away, spiking drinks, and making videos were not uncommon.
Shen Ting-wen protected Zhou Shu-rong, not letting anyone get close. But he forgot that he himself was a target, and not a few people were after him either—gold diggers, players, both men and women, all tried to get close. He had to work hard to keep his body from being touched.
Finally, Li Gun’s band took the stage. The keyboardist, Zhou Xi-you, was dressed in an underground style, and her eyes were fixed on Li Gun.
Li Gun’s band was only slightly well-known in the college town. The reason they were invited was because Zhou Xi-you had paid for it, but Li Gun didn’t know. So, the cheers from the crowd were half as loud as the other bands.
Even so, Li Gun didn’t slack off. He wasn’t playing for them; he was playing for his dream and for Zhou Xi-you.
Li Gun was indeed talented. When the song reached its climax, half the crowd was moved. His control over the rhythm was captivating. He wasn’t being modest when he said he seemed to be born for music.
Their band played three songs. During the second song, he said, “This song is for my girlfriend, and for our friends.”
The crowd’s screams were deafening.
This was a grand gesture of love. What rising band would dare to be so bold and openly announce that they were not single?
Zhou Shu-rong, who was slow to understand emotions, didn’t think it was particularly cool, but she felt that it was a sign of respect. Going public was the greatest respect an artist could give his girlfriend.
Shen Ting-wen had gone to the restroom and missed this scene. When he returned, Zhou Shu-rong was nowhere to be found.
