Psst! We're moving!
Zhou Shu-rong came out of the restroom and returned to the bubble house. She hadn’t seen Shen Ting-wen the whole way, and she didn’t know what she was hoping for.
Seeing Zhou Shu-rong return, Zhou Xi-you called out to Liang Ji-fan, “Grab a bottle, let’s play a game!”
Zhu Jia-yi said, “How about a more grounded game? Something down to earth!”
Liang Ji-fan suggested, “Then let’s play Truth or Dare.”
Zhou Xi-you clapped her hands, “Perfect! Let’s do it! Why is Shen Ting-wen taking so long with his phone call? Is he talking all night?”
Li Gun held her hand, “Don’t shout, you’ll hurt your throat.”
Zhou Xi-you smiled, her eyes crinkling, “Okay.”
Liang Ji-fan looked disgusted, “Damn, what did I do wrong?”
Zhou Xi-you shot him a look, “Nobody asked you to come!”
Zhao Gu-qing mediated, “Let’s start first, he can join when he gets back.”
Liang Ji-fan wiped his oily hands and spun the bottle, “Whoever it points to, no backing out.”
The bottle landed on Zhou Xi-you.
Zhu Jia-yi said, “Good omen! You-you, you’ll definitely get better! Look, it landed on you with such a small probability!”
She genuinely liked Zhou Xi-you, and her feelings were obvious in her words and especially her eyes, which were filled with the wish for Zhou Xi-you to be healthy.
Zhou Xi-you also thought it was good that it landed on her first, “Then I’ll choose truth.”
Liang Ji-fan didn’t let Li Gun ask, thinking he’d go easy on her, “You and the young master have been childhood friends. Have you ever developed any... other feelings?”
Zhou Shu-rong looked up.
Zhou Xi-you was very open, “I liked him, he didn’t like me, so I stopped liking him.”
Zhao Gu-qing was different from Zhou Shu-rong; she lowered her head. She also liked Shen Ting-wen, but she couldn’t say it so openly like Zhou Xi-you, especially not in front of her boyfriend. And she couldn’t be as indifferent as Zhou Shu-rong.
Li Gun showed no reaction to Zhou Xi-you’s words, as if he was used to it, or as if he had a reaction but couldn’t stop her.
Liang Ji-fan found the answer boring and spun the bottle again. This time, it landed on him.
This time, Zhou Xi-you asked, “How many clubs have you been to, how many girls have you hooked up with?”
Liang Ji-fan started counting but couldn’t keep track, “Too many. When you open a table, a bunch of girls come to hang out. You can take whoever you want, it’s always a good time.”
Zhou Xi-you looked at him in disgust, “You’re so gross!”
“You’re the one who asked me.”
Zhou Xi-you turned to Zhou Shu-rong and said, “Rong, you see? He opens a table and attracts a bunch of girls. If a girl doesn’t leave with him at the end of the night, he says she was just freeloading and makes her split the bill. Liang Ji-fan is exactly the type of person to do something like that. Be careful. If you want to go clubbing, pay for yourself.”
Liang Ji-fan scoffed at her, “Yeah, yeah, you have money. You and the young master have properties all over the city, and their value increases without you doing anything. We common folk open a table once every two months, can’t we even take a girl home?”
Seeing that they were about to start bickering again, Zhao Gu-qing picked up the bottle, “Let’s keep going.”
The bottle landed on Zhou Shu-rong.
Liang Ji-fan tried to ask again, but Zhou Xi-you stopped him, “You spew nothing but garbage! Just keep quiet!”
Just then, Shen Ting-wen returned. Zhou Shu-rong, who hadn’t been able to fit in, seemed to have found her place. She nestled into Shen Ting-wen’s embrace and didn’t come out. She couldn’t control her heart, so she could only control her eyes, forcing herself not to look at him.
Liang Ji-fan insisted on asking, “Zhou Shu-rong! Just tell us, if you didn’t know me or Shen Ting-wen, and you only looked at our faces, who would you choose?”
Zhou Shu-rong would choose Shen Ting-wen, but she couldn’t say it, so she asked, “Are those my only two options?”
Zhou Xi-you laughed, “Did you hear that? She doesn’t like either of you!”
Shen Ting-wen scoffed, returning only to tell them that he had to leave. It was a good time to go. “You guys have fun.”
“Where are you going? Are you mad? You’re so petty!” Zhou Xi-you called after him.
Zhou Shu-rong couldn’t stay either; Shen Ting-wen had taken her heart with him.
The two left one after another. Zhao Gu-qing lowered her head again and smiled, as if comforting herself.
Liang Ji-fan, seeing that she was upset, quickly started a new topic.
With Liang Ji-fan livening up the atmosphere and Zhou Xi-you joining in, the dinner didn’t seem to be affected by the departure of Zhou Shu-rong and Shen Ting-wen.
