Thomas Pryor

1902 - 1930


Thomas's last winner, Part Four, came at Liverpool on November 7, 1929.

Born at Wolstanton in Staffs., he became apprenticed to Alec Taylor.

Thomas died in Swinton, Manchester, on January 9, 1930 aged 27, and was buried there on January 13.

He won the Cesarewitch twice: Light Dragoon (1922) & Charley's Mount (1924). Both started at 100-1.

He also won the 1927 Queen's Prize on Tournesol.

Thomas appeared in a newspaper advert for cigarettes in 1926.
