Stewart Parr


Stewart Parr was born on May 11, 1960, and became apprenticed to Harry Wragg at Newmarket.


He rode his first winner, Good Fellow, at Newcastle on April 9, 1977.


His best win came in Geopelia in the 1978 Joe Coral Handicap.


Stewart was a great pugilist, winning the Stable Lads' Boxing Championship in 1977.


Stewart trained for a few years in the first decade of the millennium, initially based at Worksop and then at Bawtry, near Doncaster.
