My Anime and Manga style images using Vroid figures
Vroid Studio is available from Pixiv and you may create anime-style characters in 3D using it. I use it for creating anime hairstyles for 3D use. I have also exported the figures and rigged them inside Poser Pro 11 for use in my 3D scenes. Or simply take in-app screen captures and use them as graphics art.
I made 3 different Vroid Studio images using three characters I created in Vroid Studio, then composited them in Clip Studio Paint EX over a 3D CG background I rendered in Daz Studio Pro with tone-mapping control. Note that the background now has a celshaded appearance, and is not photorealistic.
A collage showing some of the composite images I created using Vroid Studio images combined with Daz Studio Pro backgrounds. I used Clip Studio Paint EX for this compositing.
The backgrounds are equirectangular images of 3D CG scenes rendered using Daz Studio 3D with tone-mapping control. I needed to get the anime style and palette.
I made this short and fluffy hairstyle and exported it for use in Poser Pro 11.
I call this guy Keith; I created him using Vroid Studio. I also created his hair geometry and exported for use in Poser Pro 11.
Official Kizuna Ai figure into Poser
The official Kizuna Ai webpage offers a PMX version of her character. I converted this in Blender3D to an FBX version for use in Poser Pro 11. Ai is a virtual YouTuber with artificial Intelligence. I don't really know how much of her intelligence is really artificial...
The best render outcome is when I use Firefly render engine with Geometric Toon Outline and Comic Book Colour for render mode.
Kururu Figure Hatsune Miku Morph in Poser
Mato-san created a stand-alone anime-style figure named Kururu. Casiopea-san created a Hatsune Miku outfit character and outfit for the figure. I tried rendering the set in Poser Pro 11.
As in the case of Kizuna Ai, the character is best rendered using Geomtric Toon Line and Comic Book Colour in FireFly.
L'Homme Anime Boy in Poser
The L'Homme figure is the default male figure for Poser Pro 11. I used the Anime Boy morphs by RPublishing and adjusted the amounts to suit a look I wanted. I tried various rendering styles and shader setups. Here are my renders from July 2020. I did not arrive at a satisfactory look...
Sci-Fi Game Anime L'Homme in Poser
I was still exploring various suitable anime looks for the L'Homme Anime Boy Morph... I tried a photorealistic render and then applied post-render effects with PicsArt. I created the hair using Poser's Dynamic Hair Room.
I think a photorealistic render style with an anime style figure is probably closer to game art.
Anime-style L'Homme joke render
I used the Poser default male L'Homme and partial values of his Anime Boy morph. This render was made during the early phase of the covid-19 pandemic of 2020. I show him singing karaoke at home but feeling very bored. I created his hair in Vroid Studio and his clothes in Shade3D. The furniture, microphone, and musical notes are third-party 3D assets.
