Here I show how I create a simple sewing pattern (template) for a real world BJD (Ball Joint Doll) using virtual prototyping in 3D. Software used: #Terawell #DesignDoll and #Shade3D I did not add the apron strings and the neck loop because I plan on using suitable ribbon for those, in the real world.
I created a 180 cm BJD figure in Terawell Design Doll. I imported the OBJ of the figure into Shade3D. I created a cylinder and edited the faces to produce a prototype apron shape.
I flattened out the apron shape so that it would translate better as a paper pattern for sewing.
I checked the apron in the UV view.
This is the typical UV template which can be used in 3D CG space for texturing purposes.
I used the virtual ruler in Shade3D to check the dimension of the apron UV.

I do not know how or whether the ruler in Shade3D can be rotated, so I made a copy of the apron and rotated it 90 degrees so that I could confirm the full length of the apron.

It should fit other figures to. I needed to tweak the dynamic cloth simulations settings, so I can say that I did not use all the default settings, only some. It looks quite nice when you add a windforce so sufficient Amplitude.

I used the DEV OBJ provided with the L'Homme figure and made a fresh set of pants, shorts, high boots, and long-sleeved t-shirt for him. I used Shade3D and Poser12 software for these.
For my test renders where I have used shaders on the clothing, I used my customised versions of Vince Bagna's SuperFly shaders.

I made an illuminated sculpture for Poser and Daz Studio use. It comprises a base and a vertical part. The base has an illuminating strip and the vertical part is intended to emulate a transparent material with optical transmission properties. It could be used as a message board, but I have applied 3rd-party shaders to make it a light sculpture.
Software used: basic geometry created using Shade3D, re-topo done using Blender3D, scene set up and rendering in Poser12 by me. Scene includes my original room and equirectangular background, and 3rd-party figure.
For the room scene, I made the sculpture 25 percent size.
My Illuminated sculpture looks good in Daz Studio with 3rd-party shaders as well. In fact, the shader collections are more powerful. The optical properties I wanted for the sculpture are exactly as rendered here.

The room shapes are simple enough, but adding 3rd-party shaders really made them pop. I also added morphed primitives native to the software to act as illuminating lamp props, and used 3rd-party equirectangular HDRI backgrounds for scene illumination.

I went back to the first room I constructed and applied 3rd-party shaders with my customisation, to make it appear like the living quarters of a space station. I added a figure in the scene, whom I made to float a bit because of micro gravity. I also used third party 360 HDRI as background (from PixeledAsteroid). I think that with good use of well-constructed shaders, a simple boring room geometry can be made interesting. In this render, there appears to be a line across the planet, that is the edge of the back wall and the floor meeting, and being reflected in the glass viewing window. There is some artifact of the glass, planet and floor reflection on the glass window - near the figure's knee. This is probably due to interaction among the various 3rd-party shader settings.
More testing of my Large Window Room using different third-party HDRI backgrounds and shaders. Character is a little boy. Figure and clothing are also 3rd-party.

I just made a multi-material zone skullcap for the Poser La Femme figure - and no, I did not lift off her scalp geometry, it is obvious from my wire mesh view. Having multiple zones is helpful when creating hair styles; you just need to manage that zone, then adjust the whole later. You can even make assymetrical styles more easily. It would be just as easily adust to fit the L'Homme figure.

Some time ago, I used Shade3D to model a modern balustrade based on ancient Chinese versions. Today, I expanded it by added a floor prop made in Blender3D and tested it with 3rd-party shaders. I also created the formal gown using Shade3D, and used it as a dynamic cloth in Poser 12. Figure is Pauline 2 Asian. Other contents are 3rd-party.

I used Shade3D to create a roof and supporting column structure to match my modern balustrade. My objective is to use it in Poser 12 software. I revised the structure to include curtinas. Unfortunately, they do not work well as dynamic cloth. The entire set may be useful as game meshes or for low-poly animation. For my test renders, I used Tweety's Low-Polygon Girl (LPG) but she does not belong to my set.

I used Vroid Studio to create a hairstyle geometry for use with Poser software and a hybrid F Anime Boy - L H figure (my customisation using 3rd-party morphs). I used Blender3D to process the Vroid content before using it in Poser.
These are test renders and WIP screen captures.
WIP processing inside Blender after creating the hair and Vroid character in Vroid Studio. I needed to separate the scalp from the figure body. The spectacles are provided by Vroid Studio.
