I started out as a purist 3D CG rendering person. I loathed post-render manipulation. I felt that I needed to master the 3D CG software properly and get the best result just by rendering the scene. With the advent of sophisticated algorithms and computational photography, especially on smartphones with cameras, plus social media, audiences around the World now expect to have more eye-popping images, even if they no longer represent realism. It is a trend. So, I began to allow myself to apply post-render manipulation in 2D graphics software.
So what I will show on this page are some of my renders with post-processing effects. (I don't count De-Noising with Artificial Intelligence software as post-processing artistic effects, though ! Those images won't appear here.)
The rest of my hybrid images are scattered about the website because I think they fit the other pages better.
Poser software as of this time, does not allow rendering with bloom effects. I decided to render a scene and add on the bloom using Clip Studio Pain EX.
This is the Posermatic morph of the Daz3D figure called A3M3 (a sort of hybrid of Aiko3 figure and Michael3 figure). I used third-party assets in this scene.
A young anime soldier reporting for duty early one foggy morning.
This is more of an experimental attempt. I rendered out a Poser scene and then used it inside Clip Studio Paint, and applied graphical filters.
My notes from my folder read:
"3D CG figure is DAZ3D Aiko4, with Thorne's Naime morphs, hideout-san's Naime-Kai add-on morphs, and my own customisation of scaling. Doctor's dress, shoes and gloves by 9mbi, Dynamic Cloth Lab Coat by Bat-san, Ayame hair by Billy-T. NPR output using Poser Pro 11, using Document Style|Cartoon With Lines, with Depth Cueing on, then selecting Display|Cartoon Settings|Two Tones. Make sure background is set to white colour, or use The Construct prop and apply white colour to ambient node for Ground and background material zones. Switch off all scene lights. In Render Settings Preview Tab, set transparency to actual, and show backfacing polygons. Run antialiase before exporting the scene as an image file (make sure to switch off display of camera name)."
Using Poser Pro 11, I rendered a scene with the Daz3D Hiro4 anime-style figure and applied some post-render effects using an external graphics software.
(I used 3rd-party assets in these renders)
Below: I used the Paul 2 figure with 3rd-party hair, clothing and accesories, rendered the image in Poser Pro 11, then used an external image editor to apply effects.

I tried using Clip Studio Paint EX effects with my render from Daz Studio Pro. The figure and character is Genesis 8 Male Kota.

It's been a about year since this page got updated ! My new PC is no longer new. I collected some free game elements GUI assets from itch_io, and used them with my 3D renders to make an image which looks like a game screen capture - but the dimensions do not match any known game device !
I created the hair geometries for the 3D CG render. The reset of the 3D scene assets are 3rd-party, but I setup the scene, camera and render settings. I added the postwork to the render. I guess you can call this an otome game, or maybe a shoujo game.
Credit for the GUI assets goes to GX310 and to NingNing of itch_io website.

I did not have a good experience the first time I used the commercial product Joseon-era Mens Hanbok in Daz Studio Pro. Today, DS Pro got upgraded / updated by Daz3D, so I decided to try the mens hanbok again. The cloth simulation went better this time, and I used the Parameter dials in each piece of the outer clothing to adjust the fit after simulation. The result is better this time.
I also felt like increase the drama and stylisation of the render, so I made two renders using different spectral settings, and combined them inside Clip Studio Paint EX to make a black and white version. I am using an HDRI 360 background, so all the light comes from the background and there is no other illumination in the scene.

I am publishing a series of magazine covers which do not exist in the real world. I used my own Daz Studio Pro 3D CG renders with Adobe Express Templates.

I used WOMBO to create painterly edited versions of my original 3D CG renders done in Daz Studio pro.
