I do have a lot more 3D CG Modelling projects but I need to find them and organised them before I can share them here !
I modified the 1/3 scale Ball-Joint Doll I created in Shade3D software, and used Pepakura software to create a papercraft template for printing. I'll have a go at actually assembling the prototype. This version has only the right side upper and lower limbs, and is a stylised male form. (I need to buy a penknife... )
Screen capture of my Pepakura workspace.
I use Vroid Studio to create the geometries for anime-style hair. Some of the Figures I show are Vroid characters, others are my own Design Doll rigged figures, and Others are RPublishings's LaFemme anime characters. I used Cycles celshaders and Superfly renderer in Poser Pro 11 for the renders. My Cycles celshaders are based on third-party celshaders devised by Blender3D users Sanne and Shunsuke Irie. (Please note that with the updated Cycles 2 shader system in Poser 12, my Cycles celshaders may not function in the same way.)
Slideshow follows:
You may see my Plague Doctor at her profile in my Vroid Hub account.
My Plague Doctor Vroid Character
You may see my Plague Doctor at her profile in my Vroid Hub account.
I created his sideburns and Soul Patch (hair under lower lip) using Vroid Studio.
I am showing you his profile at my Vroid Hub page for him.
(below - what I see inside Vroid Studio - but I intend for the hair geometries to be exported and unsed inside Poser Pro 11).
Vroid Hair - curly, no fringe
Vroid Hair with fringe
Another Vroid curly style
Below - I tried the Vroid Hair inside Poser Pro 11 on Anime Boy and Anime Girl morphs of the L'Femme and L'Homme figures.
(I made the hair scrunchies in Blender3D)
(I talk about the fox ears I made in another section of my website).
I used Vroid Studio to create anime hair for use in Poser Pro 11. Here are my results.
Model is the Elizabeth 2 figure with my cutom face morphs.
Ikemen hero hair !
Figure is Anime Boy Morphs on L Homme figure
Prince hair !
I made a lot more anime hair geometries for use in Poser software. You may see them in Annex A of my 3D Modelling Projects.
After I created anime style hair geometries using Vroid Studio, I imported them into Poser Pro 11 and adjusted them for use with the Anime Boy character morph of the L'Homme figure.
Here is a rough render just to show the result in Poser (not intended to be an artistic final render).
I made some composite hairstyles for the Poser La Femme figure using geometries created in Vroid Studio.
I am using my own Cycles Root Surface shaders for the hair.
(Earring is 3rd-party asset with my shaders)
Rendered under different lighting conditions
I have some discussion on hair creation due to changes in Vroid Studio upon the release of Version 1 (my earlier discussion was for beta versions)
Before Vroid Studio existed, I used Terawell's Design Doll software to generate anime-style figure geometries, then processed them in Shade3D, then imported the geometries to Poser for rigging.
I did not rig the face parts, because it was just easier to change the expressions of the character by changing the entire face "painting" - i.e, use a different texture for the face. This is possible because of the style of the character.
I was quite bad at handpainting face textures, so I did not do very much with this type of rigged figure, but when Vroid Studio became available, I could just capture various expressions of the characters and map them as images for the face of my figure in Poser.
I used Shade3D to model the geometries, Clip Studio Paint EX to create the textures, and Poser Pro 11 to finalise the clothing (including footwear) and shaders. I made many items and styles but I show only 3 examples here. Most of them are based off styles I created earlier for the LFemme figure, but masculinised.
Using Blender3D, I tried creating particle hair which I then made into splines and then into geometries. I imported the geometries into Poser Pro 11 and used them with Sean Dodger Cannon's Elizabeth 2 Figure. I didn't like the scalp shader I made. I kind of abandoned this project. I just wanted a proof-of-concept about generating spline hair from particles in Blender3D.
I created a ... blob... for use in Poser software. I will release it as a freebie later. I just don't have time now to package it up.
It's only a CG version ! I used Shade3D to create the geometry. I set it up for use in Poser Pro 11 software.
Models are L'Homme (upper) and L'Homme Anime Boy (lower)
Available in my freebies at my ShadeCG account
I couldn't stand looking at his nekkid butt when doing other work using his figure, so I created some briefs for him using Shade3D and dressed him with it.
I used Shade3D to model a wardrobe for the L'Homme figure, which is the default male figure for Poser Pro 11. The clothes are to be used with dynamic cloth simulation.
Here are my untextured results.
(Background 360 image created by me).
I created textures and transparencies for the above clothing set using Clip Studio Paint EX. I made the shaders for them in Poser Pro 11 and have released them as freebies.
My frebies are available at my ShareCG account. Please read my notes there as well.
I used Shade3D to create the geometries for a traditional Baju Perempuan (ladies outfit) used by Malay women. There are many grand styles nowadays, but I choose on which is more conservative and for older women. It is also called Kebaya, but it can be confused with the Peranakan BiBi Baju Kebaya. Anyway, I used Clip Studio Paint EX to create some textures for the clothing set, which comprises a blouse and skirt. The headscarf is from an older project. Each piece of clothing is used with a dynamic cloth simulation in Poser Pro 11. The headscarf is available from my freebies at my ShareCG accont - https://www.sharecg.com/pf/infinity10
I was testing the renders in Superfly (left) and Firefly (right) rendering systems.
Modernity and Tradition - That was the title I gave to this render in Poser Pro 11. I used thrid-party props for the scene. The background 360 image is my own. I am using image-based illumination; no Poser lights in this scene.
I tried to approximate the real Japanese kimono, not some cockeyed version you often see in commercial 3D stores. The most authentic 3D kimonos for Poser and Daz 3D use are available from Japanese creators at Pixiv, but you need to know Japanese to find your way around that website.
I used Shade3D to model the geometries and finished up in Poser Pro 11. I used Clips Studio paint EX to create the textures. My personal favourite kimono fabric styles are the Modernised Taisho styles. While I appreciate the grandeur of traditional kimono textiles, I have gone for a more contemporary look and feel.
Initially, I made a prototype using the Elizabeth 2 figure. The result was not very good, and I abandoned that projects. I returned to the kimnon creation again after a long break, and created this version for the La Femme figure, and her Anime Girl Morph.
