These were created during the days of Google SketchUp, before it was booted over to Trillium. I used content from the Warehouse of 3D assets. I stopped using SketchUp shortly after it went to Trillium.
Back in those days, it was not possible to render at great resolution, because of limits placed on free version of Sketchup, and also hardware limitation. Nowadays, if I want to re-visit these renders, I can simply run them through the Intel or nVidia Denoisers, such as those compiled by Declan Russell.
In some of the images, I added effects post-render.
I modelled this to test out SculptGL. Youkai (妖怪 ) is a generic term for Japanese mythological creatures.
Back in the day, no one in the Poser user universe knew about visual kei rock and the type of hairstyles band members would have. I had no choice but to learn how to create those types of hair for my Poser characters.
