An antispell pulse is an expanding aura which impeaches spells from being cast within an area for a certain time. It may also disable enchanted artifacts temporarily. An incredibly strong pulse may break an artifact entirely, even. ASPs themselves are a spell and can only block spells by entities lower than whoever cast the ASP itself.
