Lomaachism is a viral disease that spreads among nearly all lifeforms, including Zoans, Fairies, Barophores, Computigos, Onirodes, Effodlimaces and Ishim, as well as plants and animals. Mostly contracted through physical touch and exchange of bodily fluids.
When a creature is infected, the genes of the patient will start to replicate the patient's current physical condition, essentially "updating" it. So if the patient is, for example, wounded while infected, their genes will now try to mantain those wounds. If they are muscular due to training, the genes will mantain this physical shape.
The duration of the disease varies by species, but it usually lasts between 1 and 4 weeks. Usual symptoms include slowed metabolism, trouble healing wounds (which will remain if the patient doesn't heal their wounds before the virus is eliminated), fatigue, lack of apetite and trouble growing integument (such as hairs, scales and feathers). Some also experience nasal congestion at the final stages of the disease.
Since the very genetic code of the patient is changed through the disease, their descendants may inherit those traits.
