Stars are the eldermost population of similar beings. They are filled with light and power and come in the 14 pure colours.
Their bodies are composed mainly of iridium, which bears starite in its pores and cavities. Anatomically, they can be divided into 3 segments: head, thorax and the skirt. The head is shaped like a star with 4, 5 or 6 points. The thorax is an articulated segment bearing 2 arms. The skirtis a hollow, bottomless, conical segment that ressembles a dress. It is composed of fine, interwoven fibres of a bind called stardress. Stars vary in size and proportions, but most are within the range of 0.5 and 8 metres.
The stars mostly live on the surfaces of the 2 innermost firmaments and in there they form constellations.
Artisans are the first beings to walk on the surface of the world. Their skin is made of artsalt and their heart is a grain of philosopher's salt.
Artisans have no sex or gender and do never age in fact. Their body is large, 5 meters tall, and their legs are slender beams. They bear 4 arms, each bearing a hand. On their face sits a single eye, which is white. They have the power of philosophy and manipulate the elements as such.
As their heart if of philosopher's salt, their chest if of philosopher's stone, their eye a philosopher's flesh, their tarsi of philosopher's metal, their lungs with philosopher's aether, their veins with philosopher's humour and in their head is philosopher's wood.
Asteroids were made by the Planets in the image of the Stars as warriors to fight in the War in Heaven. They are immortal, but may enter a state of degenerate consciousness.
Golems were the first peoples made by the Artisans, although sit in the line between personhood and being beasts of burden. Their bodies are made of stone, specially clay, infused with soul. They are, however, incapable of dreaming and can't easily die. They were obedient to their Artisans Masters while still having personalities.
Titans are massive, ancient golems of clay with bones of titanium (the metal is indeed named after them). They are monophthalmic. There are very few, and they all have distinct names. In order of creation, Adam, Lilith, Eve, Cain and Luluwa, Abel, then Seth.
Ishim are smooth-skinned creations of the Artisans. They are almost humanoid, but bear a pair of feathery wings. On their face are a pair of eyes, a pair of ears, a nose and a toothed mouth. The mouth leads to their stomach and their intestines, which they use to feed. Angels are fleshy and also have bones. They have few genes, however, and as such can't reproduce normally.
Their original intent was to be messagers and warriors of their creators, but since these are gone, Ishim formed many nations and their own cultures. Many are still renowned as relevant mailfolk.
These people were made by the Artisans long ago to mine and harvest resources from the depths of the world. They breath in water like fish and are covered in shagreen for hydrodynamics and protection from abrasive rocks. The jaw of an Effodlimax is split vertically and on each side is a 4-fingered hand. The tongue of an Effodlimax is prehensile and can also be used to manipulate its environment.
While Effodlimaces have a cranium and jaws of tough, rubber-like matter to withstand pressure, most of their body is boneless. They can move about with a dorsal fin as well as with a ventral foot (similar to a snail's).
Generally, these people enjoy the taste of rocks and of non-radiant metals. They are capable of swallowing gastroliths and nuggets. With powerful stomachs, Effodlimaces can melt many metals and crush many rocks to spit them out later at the surface.
Barophores were made to be heavy workers. They go through 5 major life steps, and in all of them they are useful for construction in one way or another. They are born as larvae and, at this point, they secrete a tissue called loadstring, similar to silk. As they molt, they go through a series of stages, at which they grow from only a meter in size up to 6 meters. They are then used to carry increasingly heavy loads. Then they pupate at around 30 years of age, spinning a large loadstring cocoon, where they quickly grow to around 15 meters. As they finish pupating within a month, they enter the imago stage, at which they are able to secrete concrete, besides carrying even larger weights. Finnally, at around the age of 250 years, they become effigies. They are more frail than their imago selves, being unnable to bear the same load. However, they start to produce eggs within their bodies, and these are released with their death.
They are roughly centaurian in form, having 4 limbs for walking and 2 for grasping. Their skin is thick and anti-slipping, being apt to holding things. Over the short horizontal portion of their torso, there is a slightly concave platform traditionally used to hold objects. Their bones are made of a type of ceramic resistant to pressure, and are secured by strong tendons.
Fairies are another people made by the Artisans. They have a particular role, which is of regulating the ecosystems, and each major ecosystem has a fairy. They are tiny and mostly inconspicuous. Fairies of different ecosystems often work together in ecotonous zones. Currently, although fairies still fill their role as moderators, they created their own cultures, as did the other peoples.
Mycelium Fairy
Volcano Fairy
Abyss Fairy
Reef Fairy
Open ocean Fairy
Mountain Fairy
River Fairy

Swamp Fairy
Each of these is divided into an Awaken and a Dreamy clan.

Machine fairy
Spindlegs were created for their weaving abilities. With 8 limbs and some spinnerettes, spindlegs are able to synthesize silk and a few other kinds of thread. They are born with innate talent for creating cloth.
Spindlegs resemble spiders and they do have a venomous bite.
Onirodes were made by the Artisans as keepers of the Dreamy Side, organizing memories and souls. Ever since these were gone, most Onirodes have formed a kingdom of death under the rule of their immortal queen.
Anatomically and functionally, Onirodes are divided into a few castes or erga besides their queen's. All have a few characters in common, however; all have 5 eyes which glow strange (colour); they are composed of a thin, articulated, metal body; and they are all bound to the Dreamy Side.
Dromaeërga are fast Onirode erga with a horse-like bodyplan, while also bearing a pair of mantis-like arms. Their whole body measures up to 3 metres in length. Their tails end in a feathery fan. Their primary function is as scouters and transporters of goods.
Hadrerga are geavy-set Onirodes who walk on their first and third pairs of limbs. The middle pair is shaped like a massive comb with which they plough the land for the souls of tiny creatures. They are slow but strong and can endure long journeys.
Macherga are one of many guardian type creations of the Artisans. Their original purpose was to protect mnemothecae, but now they also guard their kingdom. Anatomically, they possess a distinctively arched version of the dromaeërgon body but with a rounder head, deeper thorax and most notably, a tail split into two prehensile whipswords. The tails measure around 4 metres each and the rest of the body is marginally longer than that of a dromaeërgon.
Taxerga are the main working ergon. Their bodies are almost serpentine, at almost 4 metres in length while also being coilable. All of their 6 limbs end in hands that can be used to grasp things. They bear feathers in their necks and tails.
Made by the Artisans to calculate things, computigos are round, fragile organisms. They move about thanks to 6 hydrostatic arms. One's muzzle is similar to that of a cat. Computigos are covered in a peach fuzz and mucus which helps them cool off.
The most striking characteristic of a computigo is its intelect. A computigo is able to make dozens of complex calculation in less than a second, besides being creative and versatile. Most computigos are, however, scared by the idea of change in routine, doing their best to mantain a comfortable status quo. Their souls loose much of their computational power upon death, as they rely on the delicate structure of their brains to calculate.
Zoans are numerous and colourful, and the last peoples created by the Artisans. They ressemble animals of various kinds. They are fleshy and have genes, as well as the full apparatus to reproduce, truly a marvel of engineering. Generally, they breath in oxygen or oxygenated water and breath out ashgas. They can be grouped in many classes considering their anatomy and reproductive compatibility.
Ostracids are zoans made in the likeness of armored jawed fish. They naturally breath water and bear live young, while also being cold-blooded.
Ichthyids are cold-blooded, bony fish-like zoans. They tend to be covered in small overlapping scales and breath underwater. They are the most diverse class of Zoans, ranging greatly in both size and form.
Selachids are warm-blooded Zoans resembling cartilaginous fish and other acanthodians. They breath underwater and have their skin covered in many denticles.
Herpetonids are similar to things such as lizards, snakes, salamanders and even frogs. Their skin can be smooth, rugose or covered in scales. It may also be moist. They all breath air (though many are adept at extracting some oxygen from water) and are cold-blooded.
Saurids resemble non-theropod archosaurs and also chelonians. Their skin is leathery and might bear scutes or filaments. They average as the largest Zoan class. They breath air and often have intricate lungs.
Ornithids are lightweight, mostly feathery Zoans. Some have teeth, but many also have beaks and even are toothless. Many are capable of flight through feathered (at times membranous) wings. They all breath air and are hot-blooded.
Theriids are hot-blooded, synapsid-like Zoans. They may bear fur over a smooth or leathery skin, and all of their healthy, adult females are capable of lactation. Most also possess heterodont dentition. All breath air.
All the Zoan classes are analogous to the orders in the Animatea superphylum. This makes it odd that there aren't any Ophid (Serpanae) and Cetid (Balaenanae) classes of Zoans. Some naturalists speculate that these 3 orders were invented by the Artisans after the creation of Zoan populations, or that there were Ophid and Cetid Zoans in the past, but that they're extinct or live in unknown parts of the world.
Also called Trollcuckoos, these parasitic people rely on infanticide to propagate. Unlike most creatures, Changelings have 5 nuclei, and one can control which of its 4 secondary nuclei will be active at a given time, to take the form of a different creature.
These chimaerae were made by Haturan scientists as perfect spies. Like their Ishim ancestors, they are alate and have hands and have feet separate from their feathery wings. Unlike them, however, Sodim fly silently, see in the dark and have venomous talons.
