A pair of glassy lenses framed in dark teal plastic, decorated with small images of indigo hands. Their size can be adjusted by "ideal size" spells.
They have the power to transport the user from place to place in an instant, normally perceived as teleportation. The mechanisms behind this are interesting and imply versatile uses.
When the user adjusts the glasses, a chironema appears between the lenses. The chironema can extend up to 130 m in any direction on the Dream Side and grab another soul (or an object capable of interacting with souls) and, in a fraction of a second, will swap the positions of the user and the target.
The extended chironema has a minimum thickness of half a centimeter and travels along the Dream Side at 800 m/s. The two pulled entities will be instantly compressed and will cross the chironema at an average speed of 500 m/s. During the transposition, both will be magically immunized from the effects of acceleration, and will also have their speed nullified when they exit the other side of the chironema.
The chironema will not pull an entity that it feels weighs more than 10 T. It also cannot grab an entity smaller than 10 cm, regardless of mass, and cannot shrink an entity with a volume greater than 40 m³, regardless of mass. The transposition will fail if any of these snags occur, and the two entities involved will only feel a slight tug. The chironema can be cut by a sufficiently fast blade, which will also interrupt the transposition.
CETL will become "exhausted" if used too many times in succession and will fail and rest for a while. They can be fed milk or a milk solution to speed up recovery.
