Haloes are structures made, as the name suggests, primarily of the halo element. They take simple but large geometric shapes in nature.
They are most commonly seen in Ishim, where they are are in a bind with 10% lactaether and 1% acetate, rendering them in a pale golden glow. Ishim haloes are triangular, square, pentagrammic, hexagrammic or heptagrammic. The shape varies by individual and they are visible.
Nearly all living mortal souls and recently deceased souls are currently protected by a halo, according to the First Law of Necromancy. This halo is small and truth-colored. The color is thanks to its bind, which is 25% quartz, 5% acetate, 5% water and 5% other impurities. In bacteria, amoebae and other microbes, it takes a + shape. In wild animals, they take a shape similar to a triangle made of crossed lines. In people (Fairies, Barophores, Computigos, Zoans), they take a # shape. These haloes are typically only visible in the Dreamy Side.
Necromancers rid themselves of their basic truth-colored halo as part of a ritual. They then adopt a green halo in the shape of a Y. This halo is 15% absinth and 2% glaze. Necromancers can hide their haloes at will, but must wear them at conferences of the Dream Coven.
Each apotheos has a unique halo as well.
