Spell spotters are a species of chimaera able to detect spells thanks to a combination of genes.
These creatures are quickly recognized by the rotund anurognathus base; the frog-like aspect is enhanced by frog genes, which allow for flattening of the body (thanks to cartilaginous ribs). The body is covered with anglerfish radii. The eyes and radii are enhanced to perceive the activity of spells, particularly those cast by entities on the same degree as artistic peoples.
Thanks to a highly developped lyre bird syrinx, spell spotters can reproduce calls to alert their owner that spells are being cast nearby. At times, an ASP solenoid is connected to a microphone which will turn on if a certain spell (or list of spells) are cast and the spell spotter calls the command.
