Guardamoebae are a kind of amoeba made by the Artisans to protect the bodies of their creations from disease. They travel through the humors of the body and, among other things, neutralize toxins, polish bones and shells, produce chemicals and clean the tissues. They have spontaneously evolved to also fight viruses.
