Hemani’s love for her students kept her in the classroom for four years, choosing to remain as a fellow despite an offer for a leadership role. Her dedication led her to continue teaching her Grade 10 students without remuneration, as she couldn’t imagine abandoning them. Looking back, she knows it was her unwavering love that gave her the strength to make such sacrifices.
Hemani takes pride in her students’ achievements. Sabrin Sultan, who overcame numerous challenges, is now part of a community organization team, while Simran Vishwakarma excelled academically and is on her way to becoming a lawyer. Hemani’s decision to stay for her students showcases her belief in the transformative power of love, patience, and perseverance, guiding her students toward bright and hopeful futures.
