Mixed Media

This is a picture of my dog who jumped on my grandfathers lap while we were doing work outside. This picture relates to my life because my dog and my grandfather both mean a lot to me. I am very close with my grandfather and my dog is pretty much my grandfather and I's best friend so I am going to give this picture to him for christmas.

For this picture I used pastel paper, black and white pastel pencils and a fine point pen for small details

For this piece I created a graph on the picture and on my paper that were both 7" x 7". The I copied the picture box by box onto my paper using charcoal until I finished. It started by being a graph and evolved from being just light sketches with charcoal to darker marks that looked more and more like the picture. If I were to add more to this picture I would try to fix how his face looks because it looks kinda weird.
