Colored Candy

The first drawing are me testing how to draw spheres and the second one is a drawing of a picture I took of some candy. I chose those specific candies to draw because they were colorful and all hap different shapes so it could be a little challenging.

For the first drawing I used colored pencil, parker, water color and a circle stencil for the circles. And it is on water color paper. For the second drawing I used graphite pencil to sketch then colored pencil to add detail and color on bristol board paper.

I experimented with the first drawing of spheres by using different materials. I experimented with the second drawing with the way I cropped the original picture so part of the candy goes off the edge and for the colors I used for each candy. Each candy has a color on it that is a mix of 2 colored pencils. Each of these drawings evolved by me adding more color and depth in the picture. In the second it evolved/changed especially when I added shading and shadows. If I were to add more things to either of these I would probably fix how the lolipop looks and it's color.
