The main idea that guided this piece for me was that i thought part of the ink bloch looked like a peg leg and I instantly thought of a pirate walking the plank.

I used Blick markers for all the color, sharpie to do some outlines, and i sketched it with pencil to begin with.

I didn't originally plan on having a shark in the water. I was just going to try to attempt some detailed water, but then as the though came to my mind I thought a shark would be really fun to draw and I think it would make the picture/scene more fun and add some stress.
