Artist Statement

The main idea that guided this piece is the fact that trump says make America great again and then stuff like this happens on Jan 6 from the people who support him. I also just wanted to make this drawing somewhat related to what happened at the capitol and added some fire to make the message stronger.

I made this on Bristol board using regular pencil, colored pencil, black pens and a sharpie.

I was debating if I wanted to put Biden on the other side of the capitol but realized it would make a more powerful message to just have one candidate on there and not confuse the picture. I was debating whether if I wanted the fire there or not because there wasn't actually fire in real life, but i decided to add it any to get the idea of the picture out there.
