The main idea that guided this piece for me was that I wanted to use multiple gelatin squares at once and I wanted it to be along the same color scheme so i made different shades of blue and green.

I used ink on gelatin squares and mixed blue and green to make more shades. After I let the ink dry I used a white gel pen, a white paint marker, and black sharpies to make the black and white designs.

First I only had all of the white lines and no black lines. I was going to make just different designs in each square but i got some feedback about adding more depth using black or connecting the designs in the squares so i tried to do both and made the lines that extended the colored squares black, and the ones that were inside i kept white.
