I wanted to do something that has a lot of contrast between black and white so that it would show up nice on the fabric. So something that stood out to me was a skeleton and how it is very white.

I drew a skeleton on a see through piece of paper then left it over the fabric under the sun leaving a skeleton on the fabric in white. I didn't really like how the plain white of the skeleton turned out and how it wasn't very crisp and bold so I decided to cover the whole thing in colored string.

I was debating leaving some of the bones with no string because that was the whole point of the fabric but none of the bones were bold enough to stand out against the string very much.
